Vessel Surveys & Technical Assessments

ASM provides independent hull and machinery (H&M) and P&I surveys for hull underwriters, P&I Clubs, shipowners, charterers and brokers. Our surveys are led by Master Mariners and marine engineers with extensive seagoing and operational experience. We attend vessels at Lebanese ports, anchorages, shipyards and marinas, and report to international standards.

As the Lloyd's Agent in Beirut since 2015, and as P&I correspondent for a number of P&I Clubs, ASM produces reports that are relied on across the marine insurance market.

Survey & Inspection Capabilities

• Damage surveys: cause, nature and extent of hull and machinery damage, repair scope and cost assessment

• Casualty and incident investigation: collision, contact, grounding, fire, flooding and machinery breakdown

• On-hire and off-hire surveys: condition and bunker surveys at delivery and redelivery

• Condition surveys: pre-purchase, pre-insurance, and condition and valuation surveys

• P&I surveys: liability, incident and operational reviews on behalf of P&I Clubs

• Repair supervision: attending repairs and reviewing yard quotations and invoices for underwriters

• ISM, ISPS and Class-related checks: compliance reviews alongside Class and flag requirements
